Term Definition
Billing Entry Qlarity's name for a single charge row from Central Reach. It's the same value Central Reach calls the Id (column A of the export). Each billing entry can appear on only one invoice.
Central Reach (CR) The ABA practice-management and billing system Qlarity imports charge data from. It is the source: Qlarity reads from Central Reach and never writes back to it.
Coordination of Benefits (COB) When responsibility for a claim moves from a primary payor to a secondary payor. It's a common cause of payor-change skips during import. See Skipped Rows: Payor Change.
Customer / Service / Location (mappings) The three mapping types: a payor maps to a QuickBooks customer, a procedure code maps to a QuickBooks service, and a provider location maps to a QuickBooks location. See Field Mappings.
Date of Service The date the care was provided. It appears on the invoice line and is used to group rows into invoices.
Import Uploading a Central Reach CSV so Qlarity can create invoices from the eligible rows. See Running a Sync.
Invoice A QuickBooks invoice that Qlarity creates, grouping a payor's charges by week.
Line item A single charge — one billing entry — on an invoice.
Mapping The saved link between a Central Reach value and the QuickBooks entity it corresponds to. Qlarity reuses your mappings on every future import. See Managing Mappings.
Modifier An optional suffix on a procedure code that distinguishes the provider or service type (for example, HO).
Payor The insurance company responsible for a claim. A payor maps to a QuickBooks customer. See Managing Mappings.
PHI (Protected Health Information) Health information that can identify an individual, protected under HIPAA.
Procedure Code The service, or CPT, code for the care provided (for example, 97153). A procedure code maps to a QuickBooks service.
Qlarity The product that turns a Central Reach billing export into QuickBooks Online invoices.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) The accounting system Qlarity syncs invoices into. See Connecting QuickBooks Online.
Row readiness (import) How a CSV row is classified during import: Ready, Not Ready, Imported, Unable to Import, or Skipped — Payor Change. See Understanding Sync Results.
Sync Pushing the invoices Qlarity created up to QuickBooks. The overall workflow is import → sync. See Running a Sync.
Sync status An invoice's progress into QuickBooks: Ready to Sync, Syncing, Synced, Failed, or Needs Re-sync. See Understanding Sync Results.
Units of Service The quantity billed. It becomes the invoice line quantity.
Unmapped entity A Central Reach value that has no mapping yet. Its rows stay Not Ready until you map it. See Mapping Service Entities.
